Marble Beer House

A trip to Chorlton, a hip bohemian suburb of Manchester, at the weekend revealed an absolute gem of a pub; The Marble Beer House. At first glance it appears nothing special. In fact at first glance it is almost unnoticeable. Apparently the little brother of the Marble Arch pub on the other side there are an array of ales on tap brewed by the pubs own micro brewery based at the site of its bigger brother.

First up was their own IPA, then the Ginger Marble beer, followed by a pint of bitter. All washed down with a pint of Erdinger wheat beer which I haven’t found on tap anywhere in the UK since my trip to Germany a couple of years ago. If you’re in the area it’s well worth a visit.
